Shrinath is a junior at Great Neck South High School. He has been fortunate to learn mridangam from Sri. A. R. Balaskandan since age five. In addition to the mridangam, Shrinath has also been learning Carnatic vocal music from Smt. Saavitri Ramanand since age six. Shrinath has participated and won prizes at many programs and competitions in the Tristate area for singing as well as mridangam. He has also accompanied teachers, students, and up-and-coming musicians at various regional performances. In 2014, he had the privilege of training under Sri. Karaikudi R. Mani in Chennai. On September 6th 2014, Shrinath completed his arangetram in the Hindu Temple Society of North America.
Anu-Shree Rajagopal is a junior at the Baccalaureate School for Global Education. She has been learning Carnatic violin under the tutelage of Guru Shri A. R. Balaskandan for the past eight years. She has performed at several regional music festivals and competitions. Apart from violin, she has been learning Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi for nine years, and has won prizes for Carnatic whistling at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana for two consecutive years.
Krupa’s musical journey began at four when she started learning Carnatic Violin from her Guru Shri. A. R. Balaskandan. From the age of 7, Krupa has been performing in local events such as the Thyagaraja Aradhana, Composers day, etc., conducted by organizations such as Shrutilaya, Flushing Hindu Temple, Staten Island Temple, etc. Krupa has also won many prizes in several North-East area competitions such as the Saraswathi Awards in Queens, NY (sub-junior & junior category winner); SVBF Nadaswaroopini Competition in Stroudsburg, PA (only prize winner in the sub-junior category in 2012), and most recently winning the sub-senior category at Papanasam Sivan Competition in Bridgewater, NJ. Since 2014.
Krupa has been providing violin accompaniment to local artists at various events including concerts and Bharathanatyam Arangetrams. Krupa also learns Carnatic Vocal from Smt. Saavitri Ramanand and Bharathanatyam from Smt. Thejeswini Raj. Krupa Sekhar is currently a student at the Hunter College High School, Manhattan, New York.
Sudarshan Sundar has been learning Mridangam for over five years from Sri. Balaskandan. He has accompanied many vocalists in the New York, New Jersey area, and has done many group performances. One of his memorable events was the Parampara Music Event, at Tarrytown NY, where he got a chance to play the Mridangam along with his Guru. Sudarshan also has been learning Carnatic vocal since his early ages and has performed many Vocal concerts. He is currently a Freshman at Clarkstown North High School and actively takes part in school music programs and enjoys playing sports.
